  • UPDATE: The APHIS Core business rule updates will be deployed to CBP’s Production environment Dec. 12 between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. EST (here)
  • On Jan. 11, 2025, CBP will deploy the second release of the Section 321 – Does Not Exceed $800 in Aggregated Shipments enhancement to ACE. This enhancement will provide a warning in ACE when a de minimis shipment may exceed the $800 per person/per day threshold. This release will include electronic data interchange impacts. (here)

  • ACE portal modernization: Information on entering foreign address information for importer and carrier accounts (here)
  • CBP is aware that ACE In-Bond, Air Entry Type 86, ACE Air Manifest and Ocean Manifest outbound notifications are delayed as of 12:30 p.m. EST on Dec. 10 (here)
  • CBP reported Dec. 10 that USDA entomologists confirmed the interception of two insect pests discovered by CBP agriculture specialists who were conducting inspections at Washington Dulles International Airport. The CBP agriculture specialists found insect specimens known to occur in Africa while inspecting a shipment of 188 protea and chamelaucium cut-stem flowers imported from South Africa on Oct. 7 and destined for an address in King George County, Virginia. CBP said that the interception of these two insect pests represented one first-in-port discovery (Caprhiobiasp., or Lygaeidae) and "one that hasn't been observed here in 40 years" (Oxycarenus maculatus, or Protea seed bug).
  • ACE Reports is aware of issues with the Automated Export System universe not returning data. Some users are also experiencing issues with the Trade Account ACE ID not populating. CBP is actively working on these issues as of Dec. 10 at 2:32 p.m. EDT (here).
