- CBP is submitting a notice to the Office of Management and Budget that it is extending the expiration date related to forms that authorize the movement of imported merchandise from one port of importation to another CBP port prior to the release of the merchandise from CBP custody, it said in a Nov. 1 Federal Register notice. Forms 7512, “Transportation Entry and Manifest of Goods Subject to CBP Inspection and Permit,” and 7512A, “Continuation Sheet,” allow CBP to exercise control over merchandise moving in-bond (merchandise that has not entered the commerce of the U.S.). The extension of the expiration date will increase estimated annual burden hours, CBP said. Comments are due no later than Dec. 2.
- Trade Remedy Law Enforcement Directorate (TRLED) webinar series for FY 2025: CBP presents its first webinar of the FY 2025 quarterly webinar series on reporting suspected trade violations online on Nov. 5, with a session on the Trade Violations Reporting tool. It aims to provide guidance on utilizing the Trade Violations Reporting tool to report suspected trade violations online, facilitating efficient and compliant reporting.
