Taiwan PET Film: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip from Taiwan (A-583-837), calculating a zero percent AD rate for Nan Ya Plastics Corp. If the agency's finding is continued in the final results, importers of subject merchandise from Nan Ya entered between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023, will not be assessed AD duties, and future entries from Nan Ya would not be subject to an AD cash deposit requirement until further notice.

Commerce also preliminarily found Shinkong Materials Technology Corporation (SMTC)/Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation (SSFC) had no shipments during the period under review. If Commerce confirms these findings in its final results, current AD cash deposit rates in effect for SMTC/SSFC won't change as a result of this review. Any subject merchandise entered under AD case numbers for SMTC/SSFC would be liquidated at the 2.4% all-others rate.

Only the two exporters for which an administrative review was requested are covered by this review. Cash deposit rates for all other exporters will not change. Commerce has ordered liquidation “as entered” for entries during the period of review from all exporters not under review (ADCVDWeb Messages # 3297404).

(The period of review is 07/01/22 - 06/30/23. See the notice for additional information, including the scope of the order, potential cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc.)
