UK Sanctions 42 Russian, Other Foreign Parties Under Russia Sanctions Regime

The U.K. on June 13 added 42 entries to its Russia sanctions regime, imposing restrictions on seven individuals and 35 entities, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation announced.

The individuals are all businesspeople, operating in the electronics, financial services and telecommunications sectors. The entities are Russian companies working in the defense, financial services, energy, transport, chemicals and electronics sectors. Six of the individuals are Russian; one, Marks Blats, is a dual Israeli-Latvian national.

The sanctions also cover Israeli tech firm Texel F.C.G. Technology (2100) and Chinese companies Hengshui Yuanchem Trading, HK Hengbangwei Electronics, Sino Machinery Co. and Wuhan Tongsheng Technology Co. United Arab Emirates firm One Moon Marine Services was also subject to restrictions.

The defense companies include Turkish firms Bosfor Avrasya and Egetir Otomotiv and Chinese company Hengshui Heshuo Cellulose Co. Other listed defense companies include the Federal State Enterprise Kamensky Combine, various state power plants, Joint Stock Company NPO Moskovskiy Radiotekhnicheskiy Zavod, JSC Mechanical Plant, Volga-Dnepr Airlines, Sonatek, Open Joint Stock Company Arsenal Machine-Building Plant and Vniir Progress.
