ACE Portal Will Automatically Check for Duplicate HTS Numbers Before Submission, CBP Says
When a declaration is made on the Automated Commercial Environment portal, the system will automatically check for duplicate Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers, case numbers and manufacturer IDs before submission is permitted, CBP said. This was part of a series of updates CBP made to the ACE Portal that was highlighted in an April 25 CSMS message.

Other updates include allowing account owners to edit the phone number and email address for contacts and to remove contacts from the "top account," the agency said. In addition, when an organizational broker employee's employment duration is "end-dated," the employee is removed from the list of licensed brokers.
