OFAC Sanctions Entities Said Illegally Exporting to Central Bank of Iran

The U.S. this week sanctioned four entities and three people for procuring and facilitating the illegal export of “goods and technology from over two dozen U.S. companies” to Iranian end-users, including the Central Bank of Iran.

The designations target Informatics Services Corporation, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of Iran that the Office of Foreign Assets Control said is “publicly recognized as the technology arm of CBI,” and its CEO, Seyed Abotaleb Najafi. Also targeted is Advance Banking Solution Trading DMCC, which OFAC said is a front company for Informatics Services Corporation.

OFAC also sanctioned then United Arab Emirates-based Freedom Star General Trading Co. and its president, Mohammad Reza Khademi, as well as Ted Teknoloji Gelistirme Hizmetleri Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Sirketi and its employee Pouria Mirdamadi.
