House Subcommittee Chair Luetkemeyer to Retire From Congress

Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo., who chairs the House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance and International Financial Institutions, announced Jan. 4 that he will not seek reelection in 2024.

Luetkemeyer, who is also a member of the House Select Committee on China and the House Small Business Committee, said he will serve out the remaining year of his current two-year term. He has been a House member since 2009.

His announcement came about a month after Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., who chairs the House Financial Services Committee, disclosed he will not run for another term. Like Luetkemeyer, he plans to finish his current term.
