The Feb. 3 complaint was submitted by The Ridge Wallet, a California-based consumer goods company. It alleged that two U.S.-based companies, RossM Wallet and Mosaic, and three Chinese companies, INSGG, Shenzhen Swztech, and Shenzhen Pincan Technology, have imported knock-offs of one of Ridge's compact metal wallet designs. Specifically, Ridge accuses the respondents of infringing on one of its patents covering card and money-carrying devices capable of blocking radio frequency identification, as well as infringing on its trade dress.
Ridge has asked the ITC for both a limited exclusion order on the respondents' products and a general exclusion order blocking all infringing products as well as cease and desist orders.
