Daedalus Alleges Patent Infringement at ITC Regarding Smartphones and Components
Comments to the International Trade Commission are due by Sept. 27 in two potential cases on integrated circuits, semiconductors and mobile devices, according to a pair of notices to be published in the Sept. 19 Federal Register.

The first potential case follows a Sept. 12 complaint by Daedalus, (USITC Docket No. 337-3640) which alleged Samsung and Qualcomm manufacture and import smartphones that infringe on four Daedalus patents related to integrated circuits, system-on-chips, and central and/or graphics processing units. Daedalus has asked the ITC for a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.
The second potential case follows a separate Sept. 12 complaint, (USITC Docket No. 337-3641) which alleged Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) manufacture and import smartphones and components that infringe on four Daedalus patents related to semiconductor devices and fabrication methods. Daedalus has asked the ITC for a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.
