State Dept. Approves Military Sales to Australia, Morocco

The State Department approved two potential military sales -- to Australia and Morocco -- worth more than a combined $2 billion, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Aug. 25.

Australia will receive “UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopters” and related equipment for $1.95 billion. Lockheed Martin will be the principal contractor.

Morocco will buy “Ground Command and Control” and related equipment, such as tactical radio systems, for $141.1 million. The principal contractors will be Lockheed Martin, General Atomic Aeronautical Systems, Raytheon and ​​Leonardo SpA.
