China Roller Bearings: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on tapered roller bearings and parts thereof from China (A-570-601). In the final results of this review, Commerce will set assessment rates for subject merchandise from the 19 companies under review entered June 2016 through May 2017.

Commerce has ordered liquidation "as entered" at the cash deposit rate in effect at the time of entry for subject merchandise from exporters for which a review was not requested or requests for review were withdrawn, in two separate messages sent to CBP.

Cash Deposit Requirements

Once Commerce issues its final results, new AD duty cash deposit requirements may take effect for some companies, beginning on the date of publication of the final results in the Federal Register. Commerce preliminarily calculated the following AD duty cash deposit rates:

Commerce said the following 12 companies did not demonstrate independence from state control, or otherwise did not respond to Commerce Department questionnaires, and assigned them to the China-wide entity with a rate of 92.84%: Apex Maritime Shanghai Co., Ltd.; Crossroads Global Trading Co., Ltd.; Honour Lane Shipping Ltd.; Kinetsu World Express China Co., Ltd.; Luoyang Bearing Corporation; Pacific Link Intl Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd.; Shanghai Dizhao Industrial Trading Co., Ltd.; Thi Group Shanghai Ltd.; Weifang Haoxin-Conmet Mechanical Products Co., Ltd.; Yantai Huilong Machinery Parts Co., Ltd.; Zhejiang Machinery Import & Export Corp.; and Zhejiang Zhaofeng Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd.

Assessment Rates

As part of this administrative review, Commerce will also calculate the AD duties it will assess on importers for entries of subject merchandise entered between June 1, 2016, and May 31, 2017. If these preliminary results are confirmed in the final results, importers of subject merchandise from GGB would be assessed AD duties at importer specific rates, and importers of subject merchandise from the other companies subject to this review would be assessed AD duties at the rates listed above.
