Senate Finance Committee ranking member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., spoke in opposition to Mnuchin's confirmation on the Senate floor (here) shortly before the vote, citing questionable foreclosure practices previously carried out by OneWest Bank, formerly headed by Mnuchin. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, on the Senate floor praised Mnuchin, according to a committee press release (here).
