- Harper Government investing in food safety. The Harper Government has announced that is investing $30.7 million for establishment of the Food Safety Information Network (FSIN), which will connect federal and provincial agencies across the country. (here)
- CBSA has released its 2015-16 report on plans and priorities. The CBSA has released its plans and priorities for 2015-16. (here)
- Go Global export workshop in Winnipeg. The Minister of International Trade Ed Fast has announced he is hosting an export workshop in Winnipeg, Manitoba to provide tools and information for small and medium-sized enterprises interested in exports. (here)
- NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. DFAIT updated the 2015 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports (here) and exports. (here)
- Canadian Government to help facilitate Food and Beverage exports. The Harper Government has announced it is investing $2.1 million in the Canadian Food Exporters Association to help the Canadian food processing industry maintain and expand access for their products to new international markets. - Marine mode carrier code eligibility. The CBSA has issued Customs Notice 15-011 which outlines and explains the marine mode eligibility for carrier codes. (here)
- Low value payments to and from the Canadian Government. The CBSA has issued Customs Notice 15-010 which advises how the implementation of the Government of Canada’s low value payment initiative will affect trade chain partners. (here)
