APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 3

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Oct. 3 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Plants for Planting: The Plants for Planting Manual (here), interim edition, has been updated, 10/2014-29. The revisions are as follows:

  • Page 2-31: Deleted words CBP Supervisor from paragraph above and in Table 2-15; deleted "TREAT" from the last cell in the table and added "handle"

Pelargonium Facilities List: The list of Approved Pelargonium Cuttings Facilities (here) has been updated, 10/2014-17, to add a facility's new certification end date. The revision, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin, is on page 2.
