New AD/CV Scope Ruling Requests for Aug. 18-24

Aluminum Extrusions from China (A-570-967/C-570-968). Unger Enterprises requests a scope ruling that eight models of aluminum "grabbers" it imports are outside the scope of the AD/CV duty orders. The grabbers enable the consumer to grasp objects on the ground or in hard-to-reach areas by squeezing a trigger in the grip. Unger says they are excluded as "finished goods" because they are fully assembled at time of entry and contain both aluminum extrusions and non-aluminum components. Filed Aug. 22.
