APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Aug. 13
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Aug. 13 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:
Chapter 3-14 Milk or Milk Products
- Table 3-14-2 Milk or Milk Products NOT Authorized by a VS Permit (page 2 of 2) - language has been changed in footnote #2
Glossary
- Page Glossary-1-20 - NEW "fixative" term and definition have been added
Postentry Quarantine Manual: The following changes have been made to reflect up-to-date information. The specific changes are listed below.
Chapter 4 Inspecting Postentry Quarantine Material
- Page 4-1 - chapter table of contents has been updated to reflect page numbering changes
- Page 4-8 - some language has been edited and moved to page 4-11
- Pages 4-11 - item #1 in the numbered list has been rewritten; sentence after numbered list has been rewritten; email address for National Coordinator, Postentry Quarantine Program has been added to contact information
