APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 25

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 25 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Treatment Manual: The USDA APHIS PPQ Treatment Manual (here) has been revised. The reason for the revision was to add alternatives for treating various insect pests on aircraft. Changes are located on pages 5-5-30 through 5-5-43 (treatment schedules T409-a, T409-b-1, T409-b-2, and T409-b-3).
