APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 16

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 16 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Approved Dracaena Facilities: The list of Approved Dracaena spp. Facilities authorized to export Dracaena spp. from Costa Rica to the United States (here) was updated, 05/2014-20, to remove three participants' facilities from the list. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin, are as follows:

  • Page 1: Deleted Agroexportaciones BW S.A., Registry No. 310
  • Page 2: Deleted Follajes Tropicales AAM S.A., Registry No. 1255
  • Page 3: Nova Cane S.A., Registry No. 2475: deleted only the facility location Alajuela/San Ramon/Alfaro

The list of Approved Dracaena spp. Facilities was previously updated as of April 21, 2014, 04/2014-19, to add the name of new facility: Mundiplantas Ltda, Registry No. 928.
