Japan Nickel-Plated Steel: AD Rates Fall for Most in Final Determination
The Commerce Department issued its final determination in the antidumping duty investigation on diffusion-annealed, nickel-plated flat-rolled steel products from Japan (A-552-869). The agency slightly decreased AD duty rates for many Japanese exporters. Changes to AD duty cash deposit requirements take effect April 10.

The next step is for the International Trade Commission to make its final injury determination, currently scheduled for May 16. If the ITC finds injury, Commerce will issue an AD duty order and duties will be made permanent. If the ITC finds no injury, the investigation will be terminated and all cash deposits will be refunded.
Estimated AD Cash Deposit Rates Drop for Some
Commerce will instruct CBP to require an AD cash deposit for all imports of subject merchandise from Japan equal to the following AD rates:
