DOE Toughens Energy Efficiency Standards for Commercial Refrigerators
The Energy Department is adopting stricter energy efficiency standards for commercial refrigeration equipment, in a March 28 final rule. DOE says the changes, which apply to some classes of commercial refrigerators, “would result in significant conservation of energy, and are technologically feasible and economically justified.” Compliance with the new standards is required by March 27, 2017.
