APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 4
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 4 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

CITES Timber Manual: The CITES Timber Species Manual (here) was updated, 01/2014-35, to revise CITES designated port and staff information. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each updated page, are as follows:
- Page 5-3: Added the new address for New Jersey's CITES designated port (Linden Plant Inspection Station) and the phone number for designated CITES staff
- Page 5-6: Added the new address for Wisconsin's CITES designated port and CITES staff
Approved Dracaena Facilities List: The list of Approved Dracaena spp. Facilities (here) authorized to export Dracaena spp. from Costa Rica to the continental U.S. was updated, 01/2014-16, to add facilities. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, are as follows:
- Page 2: Added facility Hubert Retana Jimenz, Registry 1467
- Page 4: Added new facility Rita Maria Moreira Rodrigues, Registry 3373
PPQ Identifiers and Specialists List: The List of Identifiers and National Specialists (here) has been updated, 02/2014-13, to add the Linden Plant Inspection Station's new address and the identifiers' phone numbers. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, are on page 8.
