USTR To Conduct Public Hearing on Russian WTO Implementation
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a request for comment and notice of public hearing regarding Russian implementation of its World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments. The comment and hearing are designed to help USTR prepare its annual report to Congress on Russian WTO compliance. Russia acceded to the WTO in 2012.

USTR invites interested parties to comment and testify on Russia’s implementation of WTO commitments in the areas of, but not limited to, import regulation, export regulation, subsidies, standards and technical regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, trade-related investment measures, taxes and charges levied on imports and exports, other internal policies affecting trade, intellectual property rights, services, and rule of law issues.
Those who wish to testify at the hearing must provide written notification, including a summary of their testimony, by Sept. 12. Written comments are also due by Sept. 12. The hearing will be held Sept. 27 in Room 1 and 2, 1724 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20508. USTR encourages comments to be filed through www.regulations.gov.
