Requests to Participate in CV Duty Injury Investigation of Frozen Shrimp from 7 Countries due Jan. 11
Interested parties wishing to participate in the International Trade Commission’s countervailing duty injury investigation of frozen warmwater shrimp from China, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam must file entries of appearance by Jan. 11, said the ITC in its institution of the investigation. Petitions for countervailing duties on shrimp from the seven countries were filed at the ITC and International Trade Administration Dec. 28. Frozen warmwater shrimp from China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam are already subject to antidumping duty orders issued in 2005.

A conference in connection with these injury investigations will be held by the ITC at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 18 in Washington, D.C. Parties in favor of and in opposition to the imposition of CV duties will each be collectively allowed one hour to present. Written submissions are due by Jan. 24. The ITC is set to make its preliminary injury determination by Feb. 11. In the event of a negative preliminary injury determination in any of these investigations, that CV duty investigation will be terminated.
