CBP ACE Seminar for Software Developers & ABI Filers to Held w/NCBFAA in March
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is announcing that it will provide updates on the programming needed for existing and new ACE functionality at a Software Developer Technical Seminar that will be part of a National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) meeting to be held on March 6-8, 2012 in Arlington, Virginia. CBP states that the seminar will target ocean and rail software developers and ABI participants.

CBP's presentations will focus on the following:
- CAMIR and X12 message formats for M1 (e-Manifest: Ocean and Rail)
- ACE Entry Summary Filing
- Post Summary Corrections (PSC)
- PGA Message Set
- Document Image System
- Cargo Release

(This March 2012 seminar replaces earlier planned seminars that CBP postponed due to problems in securing a venue. In early November 2011, CBP announced that two technical seminars in the D.C. metro area would be held for trade software developers in late November/early December 2011. One was to be for ocean and rail software developers and would focus on M1's CAMIR and X12 message formats. The second was to be for ABI participants and would focus on current and future ACE deployments. CBP had anticipated the cost to be $120 per person, and had stated that no more than 3 from a company could attend.
