CBP Says CAMIR Implementation Guide to be Updated Soon
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued CSMS #11-000220 to announce that a chapter and appendix of the Customs Automated Manifest Interface Requirements (CAMIR) Implementation Guide will be updated soon.

All ABI and ocean and rail manifest participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the updates, listed below:
- Input to Custom: (1) remove entire ACR record (page INP 21) and ZCR record (page INP 70) and re-number pages, and (2) for the V01 record (page INP 65) change Hazardous material code (position 18) from’O’ to ‘M’.
- Appendix D: (1) Code 1W (page D-8) delete ‘GO program bypassed’ from Description, (2) Code K0 (page D-27) delete ‘corrective action’ from name Name, (3) Codes LQ-LY (page D-32): switch FDA and FSIS holds and removals in Name and Description, (4) Code M0 (page D-33): Change wording of Name to ‘PGA Document required hold’ for consistency with wording in other Names
