Sept 14 CBP Bulletin Corrects Ruling on Battery-Operated Paint Rollers
In the September 14, 2011 issue of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Bulletin (Vol. 45, No. 38), CBP published a notice to correct a clerical error in a ruling that was published in its July 27, 2011 Customs Bulletin relating to the tariff classification of certain battery-operated paint rollers.

In ruling HQ H050436, CBP determined that, by operation of General Rule of Interpretation (GRI) 1, certain battery operated paint rollers were classified in subheading 9603.40.20, which provides for "paint rollers".
Due to a clerical error, the notice incorrectly stated that "notice proposing to revoke NY J80608 and NY M84902 was published on May 11, 2011, in Volume 45, Number 20, of the Customs Bulletin." However, these ruling numbers and publication date and Customs Bulletin number are incorrect. Instead, CBP states the notice should read that "notice proposing to revoke NY N042191 and NY 870922 was published on June 1, 2011, in Volume 45, Number 23, of the Customs Bulletin."
