WCO Amendments to Compendium of Classification Opinions from March 2011 HSC Session

The World Customs Organization has posted a list of the decisions concerning amendments to the Harmonized System Compendium of Classification Opinions taken by the Harmonized System Committee (HSC) at its 47th Session in March 2011. Decisions were taken on bakery additives, neutral alcoholic bases, laminated panels, wireless headsets, color monitors, electronic cigarettes, and network analyzers.

(The WCO Compendium of Classification Opinions is a collection of decisions issued by the HSC. The decisions usually result from classification problems raised by, or disputes between customs administrations. All classification decisions issued as classification opinions are periodically published by the WCO as amending supplements to the Compendium.)

WCO Parties Should Follow New Opinions

The amendments below are reproduced in page order and will be incorporated into the Compendium by use of replacement pages. WCO parties seeking to import or export merchandise covered by a classification option below should verify the implementation of the decisions by the importing or exporting country.
