WCO Posts Classification Decisions from March 2011 HSC Session

The World Customs Organization has posted a list of classification decisions (other than those subject to a reservation) taken by the Harmonized System Committee at its 47th Session (March 2011). At this session, decisions were taken on a powdered hot beverage, various categories of generic name pharmaceutical substances or ingredients, cartridges for electronic cigarettes, and a motor vehicle electrical assembly.

The list of March 2011 HSC Session classification decisions is as follows:

Cartridge for an electronic cigarette, consisting of a plastic

The cartridge is used in an electronic cigarette which heats and vaporises the solution in the cartridge to produce a vapour mist which is inhaled by the user of the cigarette.

The WCO advises parties seeking to import or export merchandise covered by a decision to verify the implementation of the decision by the importing or exporting country, as the case may be.
