AESTIR Changes for June 5-16 – License Exception STA Added, Etc.

CBP has posted a summary of changes to the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) that were effective June 5 - 16, 2011. The following changes were made to Appendix F - License and License Exemption Type Codes:

June 5

Added:

  • Table F - Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration License Type Code “E01.”

June 14

Added:

  • Export License Number ‘S000036’ to License Code ‘C31’

Updated:

  • Made update to Table F (Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration License Type Code “E01”) description.

June 16

Added:

  • C59 -- Strategic Trade Authorization (STA) allows an exception to export specific controlled items to certain countries that would otherwise require a license because of CCL-based license requirements.
