Update on FDA Delays in Entry Processing
CBP has issued a CSMS message providing an update to its June 9, 2011 message indicating the Food and Drug Administration's awareness of system slowness causing delays in entry processing. FDA identified a technical issue that prevented some entries/lines from being staged for admissibility review. In turn, entry reviewers were not prompted to make an admissibility decision.

Measures were taken to address this issue. Entries/lines found to be hung up have been pushed to admissibility review. It does not appear that entries/lines continue to be prevented from being staged for admissibility review. CBP says those that have further problems should contact the local FDA District.
