Summary of AESTIR Changes for April 25 & May 12

CBP has posted a summary of changes to the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) that were effective April 25, 2011 and May 12, 2011. The following changes were made to Appendix F - License and License Exemption Type Codes and Appendix D - Export Port Codes:

Appendix F

Added: C59 -- Strategic Trade Authorization (STA) allows an exception to export specific controlled items to certain countries that would otherwise require a license because of CCL-based license requirements.
