Brazil Hot-Rolled Steel: Final Results of CV Admin Review

The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review of certain hot-rolled flat-rolled carbon-quality steel products from Brazil (C-351-829) for the period of January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.

Final Results of Review

As a result of its review, the ITA determines that the following net subsidy rate exists for the period of review:

Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (USIMINAS) and Companhia Siderurgica Paulista (COSIPA) (collectively, USIMINAS/COSIPA)0.46% (de minimis)

Estimated CV Cash Deposit Requirements

The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect cash deposits for USIMINAS/COSIPA at the rate of 0.00 percent on all shipments of the subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after April 25, 2011.

The cash deposit rates for all companies not covered by this review are not changed by the results of this review.

Assessment Instructions

The ITA will issue assessment instructions to CBP within 15 days after April 25, 2011. It will instruct CBP to liquidate shipments of subject merchandise by USIMINAS/COSIPA with a time of entry during the review period without regard to CV duties.
