- Highway funding. A bill to amend chapter 1 of title 23, U.S. Code, to condition the receipt of certain highway funding by States on the enactment and enforcement by States of certain laws to prevent repeat intoxicated driving (S. 273)
- Earmarks. A bill to rescind unused earmarks (S. 282)
- Balanced budget. A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the U.S. requiring that the Federal budget be balanced (S. J. Res. 5)
