OFAC Blocks 8 Shipping Companies that are Fronts for IRISL
The Office of Foreign Assets Control has placed sanctions on four top Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines executives and eight front companies located on the Isle of Man for supporting Iran's weapons of mass destruction program and carrying military cargoes.

The four IRISL executives designated were: Mohhammad Hossein Dajmar; Gholamhossein Golparvar; Hassan Jalil Zadeh; and Mohammad Hadi Pajand. The eight IRISL front companies designated were:
- Ashtead Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Byfleet Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Cobham Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Dorking Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Effingham Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Farnham Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Gomshall Shipping Co. Ltd.
- Horsham Shipping Co. Ltd.
These designations were made pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets for sanctions proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their supporters, thereby isolating them from the U.S. financial and commercial systems.
