Congressman Wants AD Duties on Chinese Wooden Bedroom Furniture to Continue

On October 5, 2010, Congressman Dingell (D) appeared before the International Trade Commission to urge that antidumping duties on imported Chinese furniture be continued.

In 2005, the ITC imposed AD duties on imported Chinese wooden bedroom furniture after finding it was exported to the U.S. at below-market prices. The ITC and the International Trade Administration (ITA) must now decide in a five-year sunset review whether it is necessary to continue to impose AD duties on this type of Chinese furniture.
