CV: Argentina & Korea Ni-Resist Piston Inserts

The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to a producer and exporter of Ni-resist piston inserts from Argentina.

The ITA has also made a preliminary negative CV duty determination for Ni-resist piston inserts from Korea.

CV Suspension of Liquidation for Argentina

The ITA is directing U.S. Customs and Border Protection to suspend liquidation for CV purposes of all entries of the subject merchandise from Argentina with a time of entry on or after July 6, 2009.

CV Cash Deposit Requirement for Argentina

The ITA is also directing CBP to require a cash deposit or bond for CV duty purposes for entries of the subject merchandise from Argentina with a time of entry on or after July 6, 2009 at the following CV duty rates:

Preliminary Negative CV Duty Determination for Korea

The ITA has also made a negative preliminary determination that countervailable subsidies are not being provided to producers and exporters of Ni-resist piston inserts from Korea, as the preliminary CV rates for Incheon Metal Co., Ltd. and All Others are de minimis.

As a result, the ITA will not direct CBP to suspend liquidation nor require any cash deposit or posting of a bond for entries of Ni-resist piston inserts from Korea.
