On June 23, 2009, the report was filed for H.R. 2997, making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010 (H. Rept. 111-181).

The House Energy and Commerce Committee has posted an Environmental Protection Agency analysis of the American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454), as reported by the Energy and Commerce Committee.
WTO Consultations to Resolve China's Export Policy Welcomed by Senate Finance Leaders
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Baucus (D) issued a statement welcoming an announcement by the U.S. Trade Representative that the U.S. has requested formal dispute settlement consultations with China in the World Trade Organization (WTO). According to Baucus, China's illegal use of export restrictions on certain commodities triggered the consultations request. Committee Ranking Member Grassley (R) has also issued a statement on this issue.
GAO Radiation Portal Monitor Report Commented on by Senate HSC Chairman
Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Lieberman has issued a press release stating that a new report questioning the effectiveness of next-generation radiation portal monitors means the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) must develop better technology to prevent terrorists from smuggling nuclear weapons across U.S. borders.
FAA's FY 2010 Budget Request Hearing in House
Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Babbitt testified on June 16, 2009 before the House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, and Related Agencies on the Administration's fiscal year 2010 budget request for FAA. Babbitt addressed, among other things, the FAA's Next Generation Air Transportation System.

A resolution expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that Peru should immediately cease any hostile activity against its indigenous peoples and instead engage in dialogue to address ongoing political conflict between state authorities and indigenous peoples |
