CBP CSMS Messages and Web Postings
CBP has posted "pending release" versions of seven existing Importer Security Filing transaction sets. CBP also posted a list of all changes included in the pending transaction sets, which unless otherwise noted, will become effective no sooner than May 18, 2009. According to CBP sources, these pending transaction sets, which include the changes, will become effective no sooner than May 18, 2009. CBP will notify the trade approximately one to two weeks in advance via subsequent CSMS message when a definitive date is determined. The seven transaction sets are:

2. Information on FTAs and Preferential Trade Legislation
CBP has posted a notice containing tables that provide information on current free trade agreements (FTAs) and preferential trade legislation. The tables indicate that none of the current FTAs will expire. In addition, the preferential trade legislation table indicates that CBERA will not expire; GSP, ATPA, and ATPDEA are scheduled to expire on December 31, 2009; CBTPA is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2010; and AGOA is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2015. CBP has posted an updated Automated Broker Interface vendors list - a list of companies/persons offering data processing services to the trade community for ABI.
