CBP CSMS Messages and Web Postings

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message stating that the code to accept the Lacey Act data was successfully deployed the morning of April 1, 2009 to both the Production and Certification regions. CBP notes that it has already received a number of entries containing Lacey Act data and that the application is working in good form. 2. Details on Changes to ISF Transaction Sets

CBP has issued a CSMS message providing a summary list of all changes included in the pending 102 transaction sets. Unless otherwise noted, these changes will become effective no sooner than May 18, 2009. CBP also issued a CSMS message regarding ISF Status Advisory messages. 3. CATAIR Amendment 37 Posted

CBP has posted Amendment 37 to the Customs and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) document. According to CBP, the CATAIR has been amended as follows:

Drawback Summary

Filing Location - removed reference to "eight" locations.

Participating Government Agencies

Throughout chapter, changed "CAS Number" to "Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Number."

Lacey Act First Implementation - Removed "intended use". Removed "*" from 'Intended Use Code" and "Intended Use Description" data elements.

Record Identifier PG04 - Made edits in Note 2.

Record Identifier PG16 - In description, changed "combination with the PG05 record" to "combination with the PG15 record".

Appendix A - Cross Reference

Changed data element "CAS Number" to "Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Number."
