ITC Posts February 1, 2009 HTS to its Web Site
The International Trade Commission has posted to its Web site an updated version of the 2009 Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S. (HTS) dated February 1, 2009 (Revision 1).

List of Principal Changes in February 1st Version
According to the change record for the February 1, 2009 version, the changes in this version reflect:
Peru TPA. The U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement, which was implemented by Proclamation 8341 on February 1, 2009. (See ITT's Online Archives or 02/02/09 news, 09020210, for detailed BP summary.)
Israel agriculture TRQs. Proclamation 8334, which extended the duty-free tariff rate quotas for certain agricultural products (e.g., butter, dried milk, cheese, peanuts, ice cream) from Israel through December 31, 2009. (See ITT's Online Archives or 01/16/09 news, 09011625, for BP summary.)
Chile FTA vegetables. The acceleration of the elimination of duties under the Chile FTA for certain vegetables (e.g., beans, spinach, corn, etc.) that took effect January 1, 2009. (See ITT's Online Archives or 01/16/09 news, 09011625, for BP summary.)
Kosovo, Azerbaijan, and Mauritania. Proclamation 8330, which designated Kosovo and Azerbaijan as beneficiary developing countries under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) effective February 1, 2009, and terminated Mauritania's eligibility for African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) benefits effective January 1, 2009.
