CPSC Reorganizes Its CPSIA Web Site
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has reorganized its Web site on the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) which was enacted as Public Law 110-314 on August 14, 2008.

Web Site Now Has Six Major Categories
The reorganized Web site contains the following six major categories:

FAQs. CPSC has now posted its answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) in one place. CPSC's FAQs currently cover the following topics:
the definition of children's product;
preemption;
children's products containing lead and the lead paint rule;
mandatory third party testing for certain children's products;
tracking labels for children's products;
standards and consumer registration of durable nursery products;
advertising requirements;
products containing certain phthalates; and
the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) standard.
Public comments. The public comment Web page contains three lengthy (100-500 page) documents listing all the comments and questions CPSC has received on:
children's products containing lead/lead paint rule;
mandatory third party testing for certain children's products; and
the labeling requirement for advertising toys and games.
