5. FDA Updates Location Information for ICH Meeting

6. WTO Organizes First Specialized Course on Technical Barriers

The World Trade Organization has announced that its Secretariat is organizing a two-week Specialized Course on the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade to be held at WTO headquarters in Geneva from October 27-November 7, 2008. 7. 15th CIT Judicial Conference Scheduled for November 2008

The Court of International Trade is announcing that it will hold its 15 Judicial Conference on November 19, 2008 in New York City. 8. PHMSA Technical Corrections to 49 CFR Part 172

9. DOE Proposes to Amend Test Procedures, Conservation Standards for Microwave Ovens, Etc.

The Department of Energy has issued proposed rules to amend: (1) its test procedures for microwave ovens under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to provide for the measurement of standby mode and off mode power use by microwave ovens (a public meeting to discuss this issue will be held on November 14, 2008 in Washington, DC; comments are due by December 31, 2008); and (2) the energy conservation standards for residential gas kitchen ranges and ovens and microwave ovens, as well as commercial clothes washers (a public meeting will be held on November 13, 2008 in Washington, DC. to discuss the issue; and comments must be received by December 16, 2008). 10. American Sugar Export Co. Withdraws Application for Export Trade Certificate

12. Coast Guard Posts TWIC Requirements for Rail Workers

The Coast Guard has posted the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) requirements for railroad workers who, through the normal execution of their duties, require unescorted access to secure areas of Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) regulated facilities.
