Low-Duty Mexico TPL (2) Filled on August 12, 2008

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the low-duty tariff preference level (2) for Mexico filled on August 12, 2008 at 8:30 a.m.

U.S. government sources have previously indicated that Mexico TPL (2) is not eligible to be increased.

Mexico TPL (2) will reopen on January 1, 2009 for 1,500,000 SME.

Mexico TPL (2), established under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), is the annual low-duty quota for certain wool apparel imported from Mexico as described in HTS Section XI, Additional U.S. Notes (AUSNs) 3(b), (d), and (e).
