Senate Finance Committee to Hold Oversight Hearing on U.S. Trade Preference Programs
The Senate Finance Committee has announced that it will be holding an oversight hearing on June 12, 2008 on U.S. trade preference programs.

Hearing to Address Expiring GSP and ATPA Programs
According to Congressional sources, this hearing will address U.S. trade preference programs in general, as well as the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) and the Andean Trade Preference Act (ATPA) programs, both of which are scheduled to expire on December 31, 2008.
(Another U.S. trade preference program, the U.S.-Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA), was recently extended through September 30, 2010.)
