2. Senate Commerce Committee Reports Seafood Consumer Protection Bill
On April 24, 2008, the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee ordered to be favorably reported with an amendment in the nature of a substitute the Commercial Seafood Consumer Protection Act (S. 2688), which would establish a federal program to ensure that seafood distributed commercially in the U.S. is fit for consumption. 9. Ukraine to Join WTO on May 16, 2008
The World Trade Organization has issued a press release announcing that Ukraine informed the WTO that it has accepted its membership agreement.
