2. China Hopes for ASEAN FTA by 2010
According to the Bangkok Post, China is determined to seal a free trade agreement in 2010 with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Burma (Myanmar). 3. Plan to Cut Jet Pollution Approved in Europe

4. WTO Meeting on U.S. AD "Zeroing" and Certain EC Products Postponed
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has issued a press release announcing the cancellation of the World Trade Organization's November 27-28, 2007 meeting of a dispute settlement panel on U.S. AD and "zeroing" issues involving products from the European Communities. 5. WTO Doha Round Includes Environmental Negotiations
The World Trade Organization has published a speech by Director-General Pascal Lamy, who states that the Doha Round is the first to have a "green chapter," which includes negotiations on reduction of fisheries subsidies. Lamy also states that the WTO is showing itself to be "capable of delivering not only trade justice, but some measure of environmental justice too," citing as examples the dispute cases about asbestos and sea turtles. 6. State Dept's International TAC Meetings to Prepare for Working Parties
The State Department has issued a notice announcing that its International Telecommunication Advisory Committee will hold public meetings on November 27 and 29, 2007 in Washington, DC to prepare advice on U.S. positions for working party meetings of the Organization for Economic Co-operation & Development and for the meeting of the Permanent Executive Committee of Organization of American States Inter-American Telecommunication Commission, respectively. 8. CBP Proposes Rule to Authorize Temporary Admission of Aliens with HIV
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a proposed rule to authorize issuance of certain short-term nonimmigrant visas and temporary admission for aliens who are inadmissible solely due to their infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Comments are due December 6, 2007.
