AD: China Sodium Hexametaphosphate
The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative antidumping duty determination that sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) from China is being, or is likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.

Suspension of liquidation, cash deposit. The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to suspend liquidation of all entries of SHMP from China from the companies listed below and the China-wide entity with a time of entry on or after September 14, 2007.
The ITA will instruct CBP to require a cash deposit or the posting of a bond equal to the margins listed below for the following producers/exporters:

Final AD determination. The ITA states that it will make its final AD duty determination for SHMP from China no later than 75 days after September 6, 2007.
HTS classification. SHMP is imported under HTS 2835.39.5000. It may also be imported as a blend or mixture under HTS 3823.90.3900. The American Chemical Society Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) has assigned the name "Polyphosphoric Acid, Sodium Salt" to SHMP and registry number 68915-31-1, although SHMP is commonly identified by CAS No. 10124-56-8 in the market.
