Revenue Division to Process Bond Riders, Termination Requests for All Continuous Bonds
According to this new section, the Revenue Division will process bond riders and termination requests for all CBP Form 301 continuous bonds (activity codes 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4, or 5 bonds)1.
These types of requests may be submitted directly to the Revenue Division via email (cbp.bondquestions@dhs.gov) or fax (317-614-4517).)
1Activity codes 6-10 are for CBP Form 301 single entry bonds.
Applications for New Continuous Bonds Other Than Activity Code 1 Must Still be Submitted to Port, Drawback Offices
The Bond Team notes that applications for new CBP Form 301 continuous bonds (other than activity code 1 bonds) must continue to be submitted to the Service Port or Drawback Office.
(The August 20th version continues to contain information regarding (1) CBP rejecting completed 301 bonds with inaccurate printed liability limits, etc.; (2) action to be taken against the continued use of insufficient continuous bonds; (3) bond submissions via fax being more likely to be rejected; and (4) the bond team correcting importer records for incorrect Quebec and Newfoundland province codes.
