2. BIS Regulations and Procedures TAC to Hold Partially Open Meeting

The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued a notice announcing that its Regulations and Procedures Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting on June 12, 2007 in Washington, DC. The agenda for the public session includes a published regulation update, an Automated Export System (AES) update, and working group reports. 3. FSIS Announces Meeting to Prepare for Codex Commission Session

The Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a notice announcing that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is sponsoring a public meeting on June 5, 2007, in order to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions that will be discussed at the 30th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, which will be held in Rome, Italy, on July 2-7, 2007. 2. FDA Posts Various Notices to its Web Site

The Food and Drug Administration has posted the following notices to its Web site:

FDA has posted a laboratory information bulletin entitled "Determination of Melamine Residues in Catfish Tissue by Triple Quadrupole LC-MS-MS with HILIC Chromatography." Preliminary report on the experimental study of health claims on food packages. FDA has posted a report entitled "Experimental Study of Health Claims on Food Packages: Preliminary Topline Frequency Report," which highlights selected preliminary findings based on data collected in the Experimental Study of Health Claims on Food Packages and examines consumer perceptions of health claims and other health messages (nutrient content claims, structure/function claims, dietary guidance statements) on the front panels of food packages.
