FY 2006-2008 budget comparisons. CBP has posted a table which compares, for various CBP budget activities, fiscal years (FYs) 2006-2008. Specifically, the table compares FY 2006 actual appropriations, FY 2007 enacted appropriations, and the FY 2008 budget request. The table also provides a activity-by-activity indication of the increase or decrease for FY 2008. "Modernization Monitor" newsletter. Retroactive DR-CAFTA benefits for Domican Republic textiles and apparel.CBP has posted a notice detailing the U.S. Trade Representative's determination that the Dominican Republic is eligible for retroactive preferential treatment under the U.S.-Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA) effective for qualifying textile or apparel goods entered on/after January 1, 2004 and before March 1, 2007. Electronic Certification System (eCert). CBP has posted a document providing general information and requirements for eCert. Broker permit fees increased April 1, 2007. CBP has posted a notice detailing the April 1, 2007 increase to the broker annual permit user fee and the annual national permit user fee. Grand opening of Brownsville SENTRI lane. CBP has issued a press release announcing that on April 27, 2007, U.S. and Mexican officials announced the formal opening of the Secure Electronic Network Traveler Rapid Inspection (SENTRI) lane in Brownsville, TX. First SBInet mobile sensor tower arrives in Arizona. CBP has issued a press release announcing the installation of the first mobile sensor tower as part of its SBInet integrated technology on the border.
